| Pet Guardian Angel takes in animals from different sources and works to find them a new, lasting home. Our animals come to us either as strays from sources such as Animal Control, or from owners who, for whatever reason, can no longer keep their pets. Because of space limitations, we cannot always take in the animals right away, although we make every attempt to do so. We would like to be a sanctuary for all dogs, whether adoptable or not, however, practical reasons make this impossible. Priority must be given to those dogs that have the best chance for adoption. Therefore, our general policy for not taking an animal into our facility is if we deem it to be unadoptable. Examples include very old pets, which are almost impossible to place, or very aggressive dogs. Very sick dogs with incurable illnesses would not be taken, although those with short-term, curable illnesses are usually taken in by PGA. | |
